1997 Oldsmobile Bravada
The 1997 Oldsmobile Bravada was launched in the market merely unchanged. There
were only slight changes and it was only available as a fully equipped vehicle.
Among the minor changes that the 1997 Bravada sported was the front and rear drum
brakes that had been upgraded for a four-wheel disc while the rear air deflector
has been totally dropped. Meanwhile, the rear two-piece end gate this year became
a one-piece rear liftgate with liftglass and it was the only restyling done in
the Bravada. Also, it was this year that the Bravada received optional equipment
such as power Astro sunroof and the AM/FM stereo cassette became standard equipment.

This Bravada sported a dimension that includes a wheelbase that measured 107.0
inches, an overall length of 180.9 inches, curb weight of 4023 lbs and an overall
weight of 5300 lbs. The Bravada can haul up to 5 people and can tow a maximum
capacity of 5000. It was carrying a powerplant that includes a 4.3 Liter V6 engine
that generated 190 horsepower at 4400 rpm and 250 lb-ft of torque at 2800 rpm
paired with a standard 4-speed automatic transmission. It has a fuel economy that
includes 16 mpg on city and 21 mpg on highway. The 1997
Bravada also offered standard equipment for convenience such as air conditioning,
power windows, power door locks, leather seats, power seats, cassette player,
ABS brakes and driver airbag. There were also the optional sunroof and CD player.
For all these luxurious features, many owners are pleased to have got a Bravada
