2002 Oldsmobile Bravada
The 2002 Oldsmobile Bravada was considered as an engineering sensation with its
redesigned feature putting it a bit up from its rivals. It was available as a
2WD (two-wheel drive) and as AWD (all-wheel drive). It also features a hydroformed
side rails giving it lighter-weight structural components, increased rigidity,
less welding and fewer pieces as compared to other vehicles. This year's Bravada
also came in all-new and sophisticated exterior designs and an air bladder suspension
for its powertrain for improved towing. Both the 2WD and the AWD was powered by
4.2 liter 24-valve Inline-6 engine that generated 270 horsepower at 6000 rpm and
275 lb-ft of torque at 3600 rpm paired by a standard 4-speed automatic transmission
with overdrive.

It has a fuel economy data that includes 16 mpg in city and 22 mpg in highway
for the 2WD while the AWD has 15 mpg in city and 21 mpg in highway. Both trims
can haul 5 people inside. Both also offered standard features such as air conditioning,
power windows, power door locks, leather seats, power seats, cassette player and
CD player.
A power sunroof was available as an option. There were also other optional features
such as a 6-disc in-dash changer, Bose sound system, heated memory seats, rain-sensing
wipers, 7 inches flip-down screen and wireless headphones. Aside from sophisticated
features and options, the Bravada also offered safety features such as driver,
passenger and side airbags, ABS brakes, child safety door locks, theft deterrent
system, automatic load leveling and locking differential.
Considering its multi-features, it was rather defined as the most luxurious SUV
among its category, It also offered sophistication when it comes to performance
with its powertarin that includes many special features like variable valve timing,
electronic throttle control, coil-on-plug ignition, etc.
