2003 Oldsmobile Bravada
The Oldsmobile Bravada has never exactly been a class leader. But, since its
coming out over a decade ago, it has managed to pull itself up from low-rung status,
such that it may now be deemed capable to hold its own in what has become a very
competitive segment in the automobile industry. Oldsmobile quietly added a two-wheel-drive
model to the Bravada lineup last year, making it a bit more attractive to those
who don't need the foul weather capability of all-wheel drive.

For 2003 the 2WD Bravada's get standard traction control while AWD versions now
feature a coil spring rear suspension. The previously standard air-spring setup
is still an available option on AWD models. Side airbags have also been moved
from the standard equipment package to the options list while the standard 4.2-liter
engine has been given a 5 horsepower bump.
The 2003 Oldsmobile Bravada is powered by a compelling 4.2-liter inline six generating
275 horsepower and 275 pound-feet of torque. A four-speed automatic transmission
is standard. The all-aluminum engine features exhaust cam phasing, this machinery
makes for a more linear torque curve, and it also assures that the engine's boosted
horsepower brings with it no gas-guzzling compromises in terms of fuel efficiency.
